How my journey began
The #1 question I get asked is, when did you know you wanted to be a mom this way? I’m never sure how to answer. On the one hand, this is something that became more driven by biology once I hit my 30s. But on the other hand, being a mom alone or adopting is something I’ve considered since I was 12 years old. So for me, this path is one that is both old and new.
No matter when you decide to start exploring becoming a mom alone, it’s an incredibly personal and difficult decision to make. I hope sharing my journey can help other potential moms figure out this process more smoothly than I did.
